Vehicle Description
The return of the Toyota Supra has brought new interest to the
storied name. But those of us who know the history, also know that
the previous gen was a much more potent machine with true wasabi in
its veins. That's why this 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo celebrates the
best of true Japanese performance with a ton of upgrades. So look
over everything from the paint to the 660 horsepower motor, and
soon you realize this modern classic runs circles around the new
kid.
From the outside, this just looks like an exceptionally preserved
modern classic. This premium presentation starts with the
factory-correct black refinished in Sikkens paint that give this a
showroom-level shine. And the body panels have the kind of clean
straightness that makes you believe this had the garage all to
itself. This is a quality look that showcases one of the
best-looking cars ever to come out of Japan. It's distinctly Asian
in its slippery design, but with much more premium feeling than
other cars that crossed the Pacific. It has all the right desirable
pieces, like the targa rood and factory spoiler. In fact, the only
upgrade you may notice are the SSR forged wheels finished in a
tasteful gray - they add shine while also complementing the black
paint.
The interior is fully focused on the driver. The dash wraps around
you, and the gauges feature the tach in the middle for a true
performance-oriented setup. The tan leather seats look terrific,
and the driver's one has the perfect amount of modern bolstering to
hug you when the road gets twisty. While this fully envelops you,
the Toyota engineers expertly worked to make sure that it was
luxurious without being distracting. You have features like power
windows, power locks, electric rear defogger, power steering, the
premium factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, and ice-cold air
conditioning to keep you cool even with the targa top out. A modern
classic also means modern safety features like dual air bags and
anti-lock brakes. And while all this looks quite stock, the extra
gauges on the A-pillar, the valve control module, and air flow
interface are all big signs that there's a lot more going on in the
engine bay.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 2JZ-GTE engine. The
3.0-liter twin cam straight six-cylinder is truly a marvelous
motor. It's a robust fuel-injected powerplant that loves upgrades,
and this was given all the best. It starts with the Turbonetics
6465 billet dual ball bearing turbocharger. This turbo is supported
by the right components, like an HKS intercooler, dual blow-off
valves, and Turbonetics Racegate wastegate. Plus, there are other
performance upgrades like the SMC alcohol injection kit, custom
adjustable cam, custom exhaust, and a Koyo aluminum radiator to
help keep it all running cool. There's so many more investments in
the motor, so call for all the details. For now, just know that
it's rated at 660 horsepower at the rear wheels when running on
pump gas (so just imagine how powerful it is on race fuel!) The
suspension and drivetrain has also been upgraded to go with this
big power motor. The four-speed automatic transmission is a
modified Boostlogic unit with two coolers. Plus, there are TRD
adjustable sway bars (front & rear), Eibach custom springs, and
four-wheel disc brakes with drilled & slotted rotors.
We don't have room to list all the improvements, so give us a call,
and we'll go over the full details, build receipts, and maintenance
records. It all proves that this is the sleek Supra that lives up
to your performance demands. Cal today!!!
