1982 DODGE RAM PROSPECTOR SHORTBED PICKUP– BADASS RETRO DREAM MACHINE
I bought this truck because I fell in love with its style. ’82 but it looks like 70s pickup, with original two-tone paint, plaid bench seats, and its unique classic Ram hood ornament. Everything works (AC, stereo, it drives beautifully smooth, has a clean dash, and low mileage for a car its age.) I left its original paint and patina intact because I feel it’s part of the truck’s charm. It passed smog just a few months ago.
It was a bit of a project when I bought it as the third owner, but one by one I had everything that was wrong with it fixed. It’s ready to roll. I had a new starter installed, cleaned the ball bearings in the steering wheel, restored its original side mirrors, tuned it up and much more:

-cabin seals and window channel seals
-slim subwoofer behind the seats with dash control
-aux plug through FM dial
-white wall tires, spare tire
-5-pin trailer lights connector
-removable cup holder
-siding trim and Prospector logos
I’m a touring musician and I’ve been using this car as a daily driver for two years. So it’s possible to have it as a daily driver, but absolutely perfect for a collector or a second vehicle. I had fun fixing it up, but I’m leaving town for a while. I’m ready to pass it on, but only for the right buyer at the right price. I’m in no hurry to sell it.
I’d be happy to show it to serious buyers. Asking $12,500, which is exactly what I paid for it, although I have also invested thousands into upgrades. Pupper not included ;-)
