Vehicle Description
Pedigree Motorcars is proud to offer this special piece of
automotive history. This 1974 Cadillac Fleetwood Talisman was
reportedly special ordered by Sammy Davis Junior "the candy man"
for details and information contact Ken Baker at 561-866-1601.
In 1974 Cadillac introduced this special edition of the Fleetwood
Brougham called the Talisman. The Talisman took Cadillac Luxury to
new heights. For the 1974 model year it was strictly a four
passenger car with the a center console with storage compartments
in the front as well as in the back. It had special Medici crushed
velour as well as exclusive Talisman trim. The Talisman was the
pinnacle of Cadillac Luxury, exclusivity, and prestige.
We are fortunate to be able to offer this very special Talisman.
Every Talisman has a gold plaque in the center console created by
Cadillac with the name of the person at the car was built for. The
plaque in this one proudly reads specially built for Sammy Davis
Jr, "The Candy Man". It also features a one off special Louis
Vuitton vinyl roof. This special Cadillac is a one of a kind and
cannot be duplicated.
The special vinyl top on this car is from Louis Vuitton. We are not
able to authenticate when it was put on. However, we do believe it
was done by Cadillac. We believe this because the quality of it is
so good. The details are so perfect, There is no sign of
aftermarket workmanship??. Regardless of how it was installed, it's
quality is exquisite. There's no bubbling, and no signs of rust
anywhere. There is no looseness to the vinyl and the stitching is
exactly the way the standard top is.
The body and interior of this car?? are equally impressive. The
body is straight with no rust or any evidence of damage repair. At
45 years old, this Cadillac is extremely impressive. The Victorian
Amber Firemist paint??? is beautiful and has very few flaws. All of
the chrome is beautiful and is free of any pitting. ? Inside, this
car transcends time. The door panels dashboard headliner and seats
are close to perfect. All of the interior chrome shines brightly,
and is very impressive. All of the seats still have their firmness,
the velour is beautiful, as is the headliner.??
This car sat in a museum collection for many years. It was then
purchased by a collector who owned it for eight years where it just
was shown. Because It sat for so long, extensive mechanical
?reconditioning??? was needed. As with all of our cars at Pedigree,
it received a thorough inspection. Over $10,000 was spent getting
this car ready for sale. The work we performed was:
