The Creampuff – original Apollo Yellow, with black interior and original black leather top – this 1966 AMC Ambassador 990 Convertible is all original, 84000 miles. Features a 287-cubic inch engine that runs pretty well, automatic transmission, but doesn't get enough exercise. Original top with only a few blemishes and two small holes. Paint is in great shape, body is solid. Interior is original and showing some aging. Transmission leaks, temperature gauge is not working, and horn works intermittently.
This car has been in our family since 1982 (second owner). It was used for parades and to take grandkids out for ice cream in downtown Chicago until it was moved to New Mexico in 2008. Some rust limited to the undercarriage (see photos), but mechanics have said it is "age appropriate". I took possession of the car to keep it in the family, but would rather see this car go to someone that will give it the love it deserves.
