This car was lovingly restored and pampered by the same local owner in Dana Point Ca for over twenty years. The Chevelle is very well equipped including SS package, tachometer, center console, ice cold air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, tilt steering wheel, power convertible top, and Rally wheels. A Gear Vendor overdrive was added to allow low engine rpm at freeway speed driving while maintaining the original rear gear ratio.
The paint, chrome and interior are in excellent condition . The quarter panels are totally rust free as is the entire car.
The car was built in the GM Kansas city assembly plant and has a correct date coded engine (T1019JK) which is a 396/325 with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission.
The car runs and drives perfectly. We drove the car up the Interstate 5 freeway from San Diego County and cruised at a smooth 75-80 mph in complete comfort. All systems function properly including the standard AM radio.
