1967 FORD MUSTANG
289 V-8 COUPE PROJECT
If you have ever wanted a 67 Mustang Coupe project that was affordable.
This is the car.
We have a clean title for the car.
If you are a serious buyer, willing to pay a fair price, we would like to end the auction early. Please contact us through EBay
This is an original V-8, 289 “C” code car, with 5 lug suspension both front and rear. Call us if you need a different engine or transmission, no problem we have most kinds, and are available separately at very reasonable prices.
This was originally a Red Mustang, but you can paint it any color you like.
We have included some pictures of other Mustangs at the end of the photos below showing how the car might look when finished.
The 1967 Mustang brought buyers into the showrooms by the thousands and Ford’s strategy worked—selling more Mustangs than ever before.
When fully restored, this car will easily sell for $20,000 or more.
The body is in great shape, with only a couple of spots in the front floor pans that will need a patch. If you are new to the restoration process, we can coach you through all the steps. Overall this Mustang is a great candidate for restoration.
The interior will need a little work, and it is really the easiest part of the restoration. The good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren’t accepting someone else’s mistakes or bad repairs.
All the wiring, instrument panel, seats, etc. will come with the car but will need to be restored.
Both front buckets seats will need to be reupholstered, and we can sell you anything you need for redoing the interior. The rear seat was out of the car when we took the pictures, but we can include it with the car. You will need new door panels and dash pad as well as carpet.
Engine bay is in great condition. You will need an engine and transmission. We will include a used engine with the car, but rather than rebuild the engine we give you, you may want to consider dropping in rebuilt engine, and just use the engine that come with the car as a core. If you want to upgrade, a 302 or 351 Windsor will drop right in, and again the original 289 can be used as a core.
Please contact us separately for recommendations on where to find the engine you want.
The Mustang has front and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete. If you would rather have front disk brakes, we can add those for $1,500.
The car comes with both its front and rear windshield, which look to be Ok. The rest of the glass will be included as well, but there may be nicks or scratches which can be fixed or replaced.
The Mustang comes with everything shown in the pictures, and most all of its parts. I have a couple of contacts for all the other NOS stuff you may need
At MustangBeginnings we are here to help you make your restoration a success. Please contact us if you have any questions.
THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE, I ENCOURAGE ALL INTERESTED BUYERS TO COME SEE THE CAR FIRST IF POSSIBLE OR SEND SOMEONE HERE TO INSPECT IT. WE HAVE COMPLETED OTHER 67 MUSTANGS AND KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO COMPLETE THIS CAR. THIS IS A GOOD CAR TO START WITH. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A 67 MUSTANG THAT NEEDS TO BE REBUILT INTO SOMETHING SPECIAL.
AGAIN, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL INTERESTED BUYERS TO CHECK THE CAR OUT IF POSSIBLE THAT WAY THERE ARE NO MISUNDERSTANDING, MISTAKES, MISCOMMUNICATION, ETC.
THE CAR MIGHT NEED THINGS WE DID NOT LIST BUT THE MAJOR ONES HAVE BEEN LISTED. WE PUT THE WORD “PROJECT” IN THE DESCRIPTION TO COVER ANYTHING WE MIGHT HAVE NOT SEEN.
