1971 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi In 1971, designers made subtle
styling changes to the Dodge Challenger, providing new treatments
to the taillamps and grille. The single-taillamp design from 1970
became two distinct lights for 1971, and a new-for-1971 twin-inlet
Challenger grille was painted silver on standard models and black
on R/Ts. Challenger R/T models also received a set of fiberglass
quarter-panel louvers. An additional coupe model with fixed quarter
windows was added to the lineup. R/T models included high back
bucket seats, heavy duty brakes, an R/T handling package, and
G70x14 raised white letter tires. With a base price of $3,273, the
Hemi option added a staggering $892 to the bottom line, ultimately
leading to only 70 Hemi cars being produced making them quite
desirable to today's collectors. This ultra-rare Hemi Challenger
was produced on October 21st,1970 at the Hamtramck, Michigan

units produced, only 12 came backed by the A727 Torqueflite
automatic transmission. Other options include Sport Hood, Light
Package, Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Woodgrain Console, Am
