This 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300 TD Turbo Diesel Wagon is in great condition and could be your current daily driver - it is mine ! The 300 TD was built on the storied W123 platform, and served as the E Class from 1977 to 1985. The lines on the W123's are timeless: straight and clean with tasteful chrome. The Touring editions (wagons) were even on a three year backlog in the 1980's showing their domination of the market. The legendary OM617 Turbo Diesel is one of the most reliable engines ever built and really makes these cars classics on all levels and factors. The engines are known to be nearly indestructible and can be easily converted to alternative fuels which have helped boost their already ample popularity.
This one is quite remarkable for its age, even with the miles it has logged over its life. Overall condition is amazing and the interior has been very well preserved. Wood trim is in excellent shape, all gauges are functioning properly, and seats are in near perfect condition. Car retains all factory specs as well as the original Becker radio. The wagon was sold on July 5th 1985 to the original owner and remained in her custody up a few years ago when i bought it from a dealer. Delivered new out of Gump Motor Mercedes in Lorain Ohio and it was serviced routinely with proper mileage service and kept in amazing condition with documented service stamps in the book and several service records. Vehicle was optioned well from the factory like most of these and also has the manual sliding roof. With an MSRP of $35,310 not only was this an expensive wagon for the day but one that carried some significant features. All standard equipment and some highlights are; power steering, A/C, power seats, chrome luggage rack, wheels with chrome hubcaps, power disc brakes, cruise control and much more.
