Vehicle Description
1929 Model A Ford Deluxe Roadster with rumble seat and twin side
mount spares. This Model A Roadster is finished in authentic Model
A Balsam Green body paint accented by Valley Greet mouldings with a
Creme colored stripe and wheels. The fenders, aprons and the
undercarriage are all painted black as they should be and the
convertible top with side curtains (Never Used) are Tan. The
interior was custom ordered from the factory in Brown as it is
today and the upholstery is in fantastic shape. Our roadster is
powered by a correct 201CI, 3.3L L Head Inline 4 Cylinder engine
mated to a smooth shifting 3 speed manual transmission just the way
Mr. Ford intended. The car was subject to an extensive,
professional nut and bolt restoration about 6 years ago and was
done to national judging standards. Best of all it has only been
driven about 800 miles since the restoration! All of the mechanical
parts including the original engine, transmission, rear end,
brakes, steering components, and electric components have all been
rebuilt at the time of restoration. All of the cosmetic parts such
as the body, interior, chassis, etc., have all been refinished as
authentically as possible. This Model A is also equipped with a
uniqe steering wheel finished in a reddish brown color which was
listed as an original for 28. However as frugal as old Henry was,
he still used many left over steering wheels well into 1929. They
were also standard equipment in Canada. Our Ford is extremely well
optioned and features a removable trunk, sidemount covers,
sidemount mirrors, radiator grill screen, motor meter, running
board step plates, side curtains, and windwings. This Model A runs
and drives just beautifully whether it is at a slow pace in a
parade without overheating or out cruising on the open road at
50MPH. The total cost of the 6 year restoration and vehicle to
start with is $65,000. The market has shown several other roadsters
without as many accessories as this one selling for over $45,000!
We have had many Model A Fords in the past and this one is by far
the nicest one I have ever laid eyes on. The only reason the owner
is selling this roadster is due to the fact that his senior citizen
friends have difficulty getting into the rumble seat, plus there
are times they have to sit in the hot sun or occasional rain. He is
looking for a car with a full back seat and easy entry/exit. Trade
ins meeting those requirements will be considered so long as they
are in good dependable driving condition. Some preferred examples
are 1924 to 1929 Packard 4 door sedan, 1924 to 1929 Lincoln 4 door
sedan, 1938 to 1948 Lincoln Zephyr 4 door sedan, 1953 to 1956
Cadillac Fleetwood (60) 4 door sedan, 1960 to 1964 Buick Electra 4
door sedan, 1928 to 1931 Model A Ford Phaeton 4 door touring car,
1928 to 1931 Model A Ford 4 door deluxe town sedan, 1911 to 1913
Model T Ford Touring car, or a 1927 Model T Ford Touring car.
