Vehicle Description
Without a doubt the gentleman's pickup is a unique piece of the
classic American automotive landscape. With great glossy paint, a
comfortable bold interior, and fresh V8 power, this 1972 Chevrolet
El Camino is an awesome and affordable vintage machine.
The factory-correct Cranberry Red is an awesome color for this El
Camino. After all, it has a timeless appeal that's only amplified
by a modern clear coat respray. It gives this a slick style that
disguises the pickup truck practicality hiding within. The black SS
stripes, blacked-out grille, and black mat & liner paint in the bed
make this a very aggressive and well-coordinated total package.
It's a striking presentation no matter if people catch this glimpse
from across traffic or in the cruise-in parking lot. But more than
just the paint, you want this El Camino because of its looks. This
is one of the most iconic Chevelle designs with a rarer and more
interesting profile. So you still see the familiar features like
the single headlight design and big bright bumpers. You can justify
your purchase even more because this one also has the practicality
of a truck bed.
All the black accents outside are a nice preview of the interior.
More of the Chevelle DNA is shared on the inside with the dash,
door panels, and split bench seat showing their comfortable
car-like roots. And the freshness of all of this lets you know
there was a solid investment in the interior. You get the grippy
Chevy three-spoke steering wheel, and beyond that is the sporty
round gauge panel. This is a very nice vintage presentation, and so
the upgrades are subtle. That's why the radio is a retro-style unit
that now has a digital tuner and aux input for modern cruising
tunes.
The engine bay looks terrific with the satin black fender walls,
bold original block, bright air topper, polished Chevy valve
covers, and Jet-Hot coated exhaust. The fresher total presentation
is because you're looking at a crate 350 cubic-inch motor. This V8
inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales
with authority as headers add to the power and the rumble of the
dual exhaust. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you'll see
plenty of newer components, and there's even an aluminum radiator
to keep the full package running cool. If you think this sound like
a great anytime cruising machine, then you'll also love the power
steering, three-speed automatic transmission, and modern Uniroyal
Tiger Paw tires on the shiny torque thrust wheels. There's even an
upgrade to Wilwood slotted & vented front disc brakes.
Complete with service manual, this is a striking classic El Camino
offered for a terrific price. So don't let this deal slip away,
