Mechanical
The engine compart holds a more potent engine than the 383 cubic
inch one that came in it originally. Now it is a 1970 383 hp block
40 over 438 cubic inch stroker motor with forged internals,
aluminum Edelbrock closed chamber heads, 11.1 compression, Harland
Sharp 11-1 roller rocker arms, Qwick Fuel carb with mechanical
secondaries, high volume oil pump, molly pump drive , balanced
forged rotating assembly, and high volume oil pump.
It is backed up by a A-833 4-speed transmission from Norm's
Performance in Wisconsin and shifted with a Hurst Pistol Grip
Shifter, Hayes clutch and pressure plate, and the power going to a
HD 323 Sure Grip factory rear end. It also has Sanden Air
Conditioning, power front disc brakes with rear drum brakes, and
new tube headers lets the gasses exit thru true dual exhaust with
the RT tips.
Interior
The interior has the correct new Orange and black herringbone tone
bucket seat interior with another complete set of upholstery new
too, the original wood grain dash and gauge cluster with Original
Rally Cluster tick tock tach, a Kenwood Stereo Radio and amp
system, wood steering wheel, and newer carpeting and Red Challenger
RT mats with sound deadener throughout.
Exterior
When the Challenger was restored the exterior was completed with
brilliant Hemi orange with factory black RT stripes, twin scoop
hood, and black vinyl top.
Any rust was completely removed, chassis is painted same as car,
way too much to list. Runs and drives perfect as the Challenger is
turn key .
The Rt has Hellwig oversize front sway bar and rear sway bar,
performance control arms, and articulated strut rods that
guarantees a great ride and handling Challenger, better than new
when riding on the performance ZR17 inch tires on aluminum Year One
Rallye wheels.
