The Corvair was a big turning point to the muscle car era and one
that holds a strong automotive history to its name. Developed and
produced for 1960 model year and up to 1969. This gorgeous Corvair
is a Corsa with the 180 hp, 6 cylinder with a turbo with a 4 speed
manual transmission. The car looks like a million bucks and demands
attention.
What you are looking at is the nicest 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa
we have ever seen. The underside of this car is just as nice as the
rest of the car. It is finished in Maroon over a black interior. It
has been fully and completely restored and has just 426 miles on it
since completion. The car spent its life in Arizona before the
restoration. The car comes with a few documents showing where money
was spent on the restoration and photos of the process. The car
also features true knock off wheels.
The Corvair's are rear engine 6 cylinder vehicles which broke the
mold of the American sports car necessitating a heavy V8. It was
the only American designed, mass produced car to feature a
rear-mounted air-cooled engine. It was truly a groundbreaking
American car in many aspects designed to compete with European
manufactured sports cars. Their popularity grows today with a large
fan following.
