1966 Ford F-100 might have a great vintage look inside and out, but
as you really start to take a deeper look, there are subtle hints
that there has been a nice investment in modern upgrades. And when
you discover the fuel-injected V8 and overdrive transmission, you
soon realize this is one awesome restomod.
This truck has been updated nicely, but your first impression might
just be a cool classic that has been thoroughly restored. For
example, the two-tone yellow and white has a modern matte finish,
but you might just see it as the soft glow you'd expect on a
classic. More signs of a proper restoration investment are seen in
the super-straight body panels, mirror-like chrome bumpers, bright
full-length trim, new safety glass, and whitewall tires. They even
left real wood in the bed to give it a true workman attitude. But
then you start to notice items like the LED headlights and modern
solid steelie wheels with bright trim. They are subtle hints to the
upgrades within.
Inside, the fresh black and white bench has a great classic look,
and it sets the tone for an interior that has its updates expertly
blended. The Dynamat insulation is hidden by new carpeting. The
AM/FM/CD stereo w/Bluetooth and provisions for air conditioning
were neatly installed. And the new chrome tilt steering column
still has the classic and grippy three-spoke Ford wheel attached.
Even the Dakota Digital full gauge package fits neatly into the
factory readout space.
It's hard to disguise the presentation under the hood as anything
but a modern upgrade. It's a 4.6-liter fuel-injected V8. This been
expertly installed less than 1,400 miles ago, and it even comes
with nice upgrades, like an aluminum radiator and cold air intake.
This V8 is believed to be from a hardy Crown Vic, and so is the
four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive.
The suspension has been upgraded, too with a Ford 9-inch rear and
refreshed twin I-beam up front. There also power steering and power
brakes w/discs up front it all makes for a classic pickup tat's
ready for the modern road.
Complete with build receipts, this is a very cool custom truck. So
if you like vintage looks and modern power, don't miss this
restomod. Call today!!!
