As the last of the breed, the BJ8's benefitted from all the updates
and improvements made over the production years, featuring gorgeous
burl wood dashes, roll up windows, full weather protection,
improved road clearance, and other refinements. Aside from the
model characteristics, this BJ8 is truly remarkable. It is a fully
documented example whose owner treasured the car for over 51 years,
after having purchased it at Continental Cars in Florissant,
Missouri, in June of 1967. With its 51-year-long owner being a true
Austin Healey aficionado and club member, this big Healey received
proper servicing and attending to. The car never fell derelict and
was always properly cared for and exercised. Today, she remains
totally original, save for a cosmetic refreshing a few years ago.
The car's chrome was redone, the interior carpet, panels, and
seating surfaces were replaced with the correct materials, the top
bows were repainted, the top was replaced, the wire wheels were
redone, and the car received a very high quality repaint in its
original Old English white over eye-catching bronze coves. With the
work of restoring and replating rather than replacing, the car has
a truly original 1966 feel, retaining its original instruments,
bakelite knobs, steering wheel, chrome, engine compartment, and so
on. The best of both worlds in our opinion. Drive-wise, the car is
simply excellent. She makes great power, sounds fabulous, and
handles as designed. This then, presents an opportunity to acquire
one of the most original BJ8's currently on the market for a very
fair price. Please call or text Mike at 573-579-4617 or email to
