Vehicle Description
2000 Chrysler Sebring JXI
Sebring International Raceway is a road course auto racing facility
in the southeastern United States, located near Sebring, Florida.
Sebring (pronounced "sea-bring") Raceway is one of the oldest
continuously operating racetracks in the U.S., its first race being
run in 1950. Sebring is one of the classic racetracks in North
American sports car racing and plays host to the 12 Hours of
Sebring. The raceway occupies a portion of Sebring Regional
Airport, an active airport for private and commercial traffic that
was originally built as Hendricks Army Airfield, a World War II
training base for the U.S. Army Air Forces.
For consignment named after the famous long running racetrack in
Florida the Chrysler Sebring. With only 15,392 original miles, this
one owner car has never seen rain, and is in excellent condition.
This car will seat 4 adults comfortably and is a cab forward based
design. It was tuned to cruise and corner well, and still be
comfortable.
Exterior
Dipped in Patriot Blue Pearl, the original paint holds up as very
good. Straight steel, and no rust, well minded gaps, and undulating
curved lines, made this one of the bestselling Chryslers of all
time. This one a JXI model denotes it is a convertible, and this
top on this car is black cloth in excellent condition and has a
rear glass window. The top is power operated and goes up and down
in a flash with the touch of a button. 16-inch machined aluminum
wheels are on all 4 corners of this nice example.
Interior
A view from above sums it all up for the interior of this car,
which sports charcoal anthracite shiny no creased leather covered
seats. Buckets upfront and a rear bench are well padded and
extremely comfortable, as well as large enough to accommodate a
portly individual. Some woodgrain applique highlighting is on the
dash and door panels, which are otherwise dark gray in color. Clean
gray carpet covers the floors, and a fantastic AM/FM/Multiple CD
player pumps out surround sound. Power conveniences include
windows, mirrors, locks, steering, convertible top, and brakes. All
very nicely preserved and working well inside here.
Drivetrain
A 2.5 liter V6 is transversely mounted under the hood, has
electronic fuel injection, and is backed by a 4-speed automatic
transmission. All is well maintained and clean under here so you
can close the hood!
Undercarriage
Totally rust free and showroom comes to mind with this car never
been driven in the rain. and I believe it. All around independent
coil spring suspension and power disc brakes are functioning just
peachy.
Drive-Ability
Started right up and ran like a dream with 15,000 miles on it.
Cornering was good, acceleration fair (but it was meant to be a
cruiser, not a sports car, although it does handle nicely. A good
smooth ride was had by all. A shout out to trunk space, with that
"cab forward" design there's aplenty, certainly enough for 2 golf
bags, which we could not bring into work.
A well-kept, barely used example of the 2000 Sebring Convertible. 1
owner, never in rain, and nice presentation on the exterior and
interior. Runs great!
