GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this exceptionally rare 1948
Studebaker M5 Pick-Up. This incredible piece of history is powered
by a Jasper 350ci crate motor mated to a smooth shifting automatic
transmission. Features of the M5 include power brakes, power
steering, working heat and more. Additionally, a restoration is
believed to have been completed professionally by Christian
Brothers Restoration in 2016. The M5 comes to us out of a private
automotive collection. As such it has always been properly
maintained and store. So, if you're in the market for an
outstanding classic sure to turn heads, this is the truck for you.

The M-series Studebaker trucks came in several versions both pre
and post WW II. The M-5 was a 1/2 ton PU. The M15 was the 3/4 ton
version. The M15A was the one & 1-1/2 ton version. The M5, M15, and
M15A all came with the Champion 169 ci. engine, only. The M16 1-1/2
& 2 ton versions came with the more powerful Commander 226 ci.
engine. First put into production in November 1940, it saw
extensive action during the Second World War, specifically in the
South East Asian theatre against Japan. A large number of these
trucks also served in the Russian forces as part of aid given to
the country by the U.S.
