Upgraded to a 1980 Chevrolet Step-Van chassis with power disc brakes in front, power steering, much improved suspension. Rear brakes and drums are all brand new and has excellent braking. Engine is a 383 cubic inch Chevy Stroker with lots of power. Brand new Vortec heads were installed about 2,000 miles ago and greatly improved the performance. TH400 3 speed automatic transmission was rebuilt about 5,000 miles ago, very smooth shifting! Engine has a total of about 50,000 miles since full rebuild. Starts and runs excellent. Miles on odometer show 70,150 and it's believed that the instrument panel came from the step-van, but no idea of actual true mileage Has 3:73 differential for excellent towing. Receiver hitch installed at rear with 7 pin round modern plug. Pull an RV or any type of trailer with ease. All brand-new radial tires. Original vacuum wipers have been upgraded to Newport Engineering 2 speed electric for improved operation. Has Vintage Air Conditioning installed that works great. See under dash clean installation.
