There's nothing like a fuel-injected classic finished in a sleek
red, especially when there are T-tops, too. So when it's all
offered for an obtainable price, we know you're going to love this
1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z/28.
These IROC Z-cars were the king of the Camaro hill. So they had a
speedy look that included a factory body kit and well-integrated
rear spoiler. The bright red paint has been given an update later
in life, and that means a nice clearcoat luster that loves the
sunshine. Plus, the bold red makes for a nice contrast to the
aggressive black accenting. The hood slats, grille, headlight
inserts, tinted T-top glass, and rear panel. And there's more black
on the double-stripe that encircles the entire car.
The interior is in quite nice condition, so we doubt anyone had
this one out in the sunshine with the T-tops out for too long. But
with the way the black and gray inside coordinate with the IROC
striping on the outside, we wouldn't blame you if you wanted to
share this with the world as much as possible. And since the seats
are a comfy cloth, you don't even have to worry about hopping in on
a hot day. This one has terrific factory feature like a power
driver's seat, power windows, power locks, an AM/FM/cassette
stereo, and cruise control. It's a true driver's setup with an
armrest center console, tilt steering column, and three-spoke
sports steering wheel that's engineered to give you a clear view to
the full gauge package.
Under the hood is where this Camaro becomes even more desirable. It
has the optional L98 350 cubic-inch fuel-injected motor that was
shared with the Corvette. This V8 is believed to be original to
car, and the very stock presentation reaffirms it. This could only
be mated to the stout 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission
because the motor made too much power for the five-speed manual of
the day. Having a modern classic like this also means plenty of
worthwhile driver upgrades. For example, this IROC has four-wheel
disc brakes, sway bars front & rear, power steering, and a limited
slip rear end.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the sleek red Camaro you've
been waiting for. So you know you don't want this deal to slip
away. Call now!
