1947 Desoto with fluid drive. Mechanically the car is excellent.
The interior fabric is still original, but is very fragile and
would need to be replaced. There are only a few large rips. The
Desoto has been thoroughly cleaned, all rust removed, and then
undercoated with heavy duty rubberized asphalt, just like the
original. The wiring is also completely new from the rear, and the
original wiring that hasn't been replaced is in good condition.
This Desoto features a 4speed fluid drive transmission, which
operates just like an automatic. All the mechanical parts of the
carhave been tested, cleaned, painted and lubricated and the engine
has been cleaned and tuned. All the lights are working. Gauges are
also working, including ammeter, temperature, and speedometer. What
it needs: new tires (white walls would be nice), new interior, some
minor adjustments, such as replacing the missing fuel gauge, front
brake cylinders and pads and more coats of clearcoat. Please Note
