Without a doubt, the Porsche 911 has one of the most recognizable
looks in the automotive universe. If you?re interested, we have one
here at MotoeXotica Classic Car from the heart of the original
model?s 30-year run. Sold new at California Porsche Audi of San
Fransisco on 6/15/1976 to the San Francisco Computer Group. Dressed
in factory correct black (code 700), this 911?s paint and trim are
in overall very good order, as are the windows and lights,
including the foglights below the front bumper. The car?s body is
straight and solid. Made in April 1976 in Stuttgart, West Germany,
this is one of 1,123 Targa models made during 1976 and 1977. This
911 rolls on Cooper RS3-R radials, size 205/50R16 in front and
225/50R16 in back. Each tire is fitted a gold and silver BBS wheel
with lace-like spokes. The tires and wheels are all in very good
condition. Out back below the body-colored whale tail is a 3.0L
flat, air-cooled six-cylinder engine with Bosch K-Jetronic CIS fuel
injection from a 1980 Porsche 911SC that was reportedly rebuild by
Mitchells Autosport Technology. Connected to this motor is a
five-speed manual transmission. Driver conveniences features
factory include air-conditioning that is complete but is
inoperable. There is also a tool kit, BBS wheel tool, original
owners manual with service stamps and original California
registrations. The black interior is in good order, as is the
matching black carpet. The three-spoke steering wheel is in good
shape. The instrument panel, complete with full array of VDO
gauges, and the inner door panels echo the rest of the interior?s
condition. The center console and the floor-mounted shifter are in
similar states. Rounding out the interior is a JVC AM/FM stereo
with a CD player and bluetooth. The Carrera 3.0 was given the same
diecast aluminum crankcase as the 930 or ?911 Turbo.? Its 3L engine
had K-Jetronic CIS fuel injection. Power output was slightly down
on the Carrera 2.7 at 200 bhp although the 188 lbs/ft of torque was
now available at 4,200 rpm. Weight was up by 99 lbs. to 2,469 lbs.
During its two-year life span, only 3,687 cars were built. Of these
2,564 were coup?s and 1,123 Targas. Competition to this Porsche in
1976 included Chevrolet?s Corvette, Ferrari?s 308GTS, Lotus? Esprit
and Mercedes-Benz?s 450SLC. Here is your opportunity to own a model
