Vehicle Description
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this gorgeous 1972 Ferrari
365GTC/4. One of only 505 examples built over a two-year period,
the 365 GTC/4 was derived from the Daytona chassis. Built as a
Grand Tourer with a rear seat, it shares a similar 4.4 liter
four-cam V12 - rated at 340 horsepower and fed through six Weber
side-draft carburetors.
This is a beautifully restored example finished in as-delivered
Blue Ortis over beige Connolly leather with 42,000 kilometers. It
was originally sold in Italy through Ferrari dealer Garage La
Rotunda; later it was imported to the US with owners in New York
and Florida before the current owner's acquisition in 2016. Upon
purchase, the current owner commissioned an extensive mechanical
freshening which included Ansa exhaust and stainless steel headers,
brake rebuild, suspension bushings, carburetor cleaning and sync,
oil and coolant line replacement, power steering pump rebuild and
A/C system upgrade for modern reliability. Prior to his purchase an
engine-out reseal (including head gaskets) was performed by
Lamborghini of Houston at a cost of over $15,000.
This example is ready for touring, rallies and shows. Although the
paint quality and interior are expertly finished, this is
ultimately a wonderful car to drive thanks to recent refurbishment
of often-neglected items. Fitted with a period Becker Mexico radio
and includes its tool roll and a Marcel Massini history report.
Borrani wire wheels are wearing Michelin XWX tires.
The Pininfarina bodywork gives the 365 GT/4 striking visual appeal;
the remarkably modern interior is without a doubt a pleasant place
to spend time. In terms of performance, handling, comfort and style
few cars from the period come close. For more information about
