I've owned this 1957 Studebaker Silver Hawk for 17 years and it was a car that my brother Sonny Sims had collected and this car was his 1st project.
My brother had over 20 Studebaker that he collected over the years and he was known around town for his Studebaker collection.
The motor in this car will run from 0 to 100 in a flat ass second!
Everywhere we go people want to see the car.
Now I'm at a point that it is more car than I can handle right now and I'd like someone to be able to enjoy it like I have.
Everything is original & it runs great.
Today is Collector Car Appreciation Day (CCAD). While not a federally recognized day off, it is a recognized holiday, as the SEMA Action Network (SAN) wants to “raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.” This is the 11th such holiday. In a celebration video, Courtney Hansen, daughter of […]
Yesterday, our Video of the Day featured Lady Penelope’s FAB1, a weapon-equipped pink Rolls-Royce from the Thunderbirds, a British television series in the mid-1960s. Today, we share an update on the car, this time featuring James May of Top Gear as he tools around in a drivable version of the car built for a movie […]

The Pick of the Day might be a good way to stick your toes into the realm of pre-war collector cars. Offered for sale on ClassicCars.com by its private owner in Silver City, New Mexico, is a 1930 Franklin Olympic. For one thing, Silver City isn’t all that far from Tucson, Arizona, home of the […]
When Britain’s National Motor Museum at Beaulieu re-opened this past weekend, it also unveiled its newest exhibition, “Motoring in Miniature — the Toys of Your Childhood.” The display includes more than 800 toy and pedal cars. “Most of us have early motoring memories from before we learned to drive,” the museum said, “and that’s the […]
Track days are a fun way to get in your car and play with no stop signs or speed limits. They are by design a way to enjoy the performance of your car in a controlled and “safe” environment. That said, anything that involves cars, high speeds and room for human error is dangerous. For […]
The first Aston Martin sport utility vehicle has rolled out of the company’s new assembly plant in Wales, so it begs the question: How soon will we see one in a 007 movie? “With its all-wheel drive system, DBX is a car that will allow the company to increase its presence in markets where perhaps […]
From 1964 to 1966, British television viewers watched Thunderbirds, a science-fiction series shot with what was termed “Supermarionation” and featuring electronic marionette puppets. The series was set in the 2060 and followed former astronaut Jeff Tracy, his sons and a British agent and their International Rescue team. The Video of the Day features FAB1, British […]
Even with new equipment being added, the base price of the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette will not increase over those of the 2020 model, Chevrolet announced July 8. “The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray retains carryover pricing – the same as the introductory model – with MSRP starting at $59,995 for the coupe and $67,495 for the […]
The Chevy Corvette has been an American icon for 67 years now, and it’s as much a part of U.S. history any other automobile. At a time when patriotism is running high and history is celebrated, it seems fitting that a Corvette should get the spotlight. The Pick of the Day is a low-mileage 1996 […]
