That was the turning point in the Corvette's performance. The ZR1 was a monumental forward move in power and performance on the advanced DOHC V-8, which was the first in production for the Corvette. Designed by Chevrolet and Lotus on the same architecture as the small-block V-8, the ZR1's Mercury Marine-built LT5 5.7L engine integrated four valves per cylinder and twin overhead cams, producing an amazing 375 HP that generated 0-60 MPH times of 4.5 seconds. Driven only 12,014 miles, this bright red and tan ZR1 is a prime example of the first-year edition defining 28 years of expertise. Equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission, FX3 Selective Ride suspension, air conditioning, power steering and 4-wheel disc brakes. It also features power windows and locks, a tilt column, cruise control, dual power seats and both glass and painted tops.
