Vehicle Description
Only 886 units were produced and of those, only 538 were in the
black & gold combo. Only 205 of the 538 Black & Golds were sold in
the USA.
This car was repainted with the original 4-4-2 W-30 factory colors
in 1999. In 2000, the original 350 V8 engine (with 93,000 miles on
it) was swapped for a 455 V8 big block out of a 1973 Cutlass
Supreme and rebuilt with a mild cam. The original 350
Turbo-Hydromatic Transmission was removed and upgraded to a rebuilt
200 4R. The rear axle was upgraded with an Auburn Carrier and
Richmond 3.42 gears.
