Vehicle Description
1933 Hupmobile Model K four-door sedan automobile with a clear
title that runs and is in drivable condition. It was manufactured
in 1933 by the Hupp Motor Company in Detroit, Michigan. This is an
old 'gangster ' car with four suicide doors, running boards, big
fenders , low windshield , large 9' headlights, and wire spoke
wheels with whitewall tires. The body and frame are in very good
condition considering that the car is 85 years old. The body is
very solid, constructed of heavy gauge steel, with very little
rust. The original engine and drive train were replaced by a
previous owner. The current drive train consists of a 1980 350
cubic inch two barrel Chevrolet Camaro engine, with a Chevrolet 350
automatic transmission, and 1979 Ford F-150 rear axle assembly. The
engine has been restored to good operating condition , including
modified tubular exhaust headers, and a magna flow dual exhaust
system. The braking system has been reworked to operate with
hydraulic brakes. A new hydraulic master cylinder, and a custom
built emergency brake system have been installed. The rear axle
braking system is a completely rebuilt (wheel cylinders, brake
shoes, and emergency brake) stock hydraulic Ford drum brake system.
The original front cable operated drum brakes have been retained
and are in good condition. A custom-built hydraulic - mechanical
converter operates the front brake drums with the original brake
cables. The original cable terminates in a steel box mounted to the
frame on each side that contains the hydraulic actuator. New wheel
bearings have been installed on the front wheel spindles. Please
