2 Door Sedan is a custom build that took the classic Olds lines and
gave them a sinisterly smooth appearance. And while you're checking
out all the custom details (shaved trim, custom flames, etc.) don't
forget to spot the dual-quad V8 under the hood, too.
How does a classic instantly look so mean and modern? You start by
expertly shaving the trim. That means the door handles, fender
trim, badges, and more were removed without a trace. That creates
an ideal setting to lay down the glossy black that highlights
terrific design elements like the curvy fenders and the sleek rear
end. Plus, this modern black with uncluttered body gives you the
perfect canvas to apply the custom purple flames that consume the
whole front of the car. But since this is a true classic American,
they left room for the right brightwork in places like the distinct
grille, ribbed wraparound bumpers, and 15-inch polished wheels.
Plus, you'll even love the details, like the frenched headlights,
high-mounted side mirrors, and flush-mounted blue-dot
taillights.
This is the kind of classic you're going to want to drive
everywhere, and you also know family and friends will want to come
along, too. That's why the interior was customized to be comfy. Two
rows of bench seats are finished in a nice cloth, and the two-tone
gray is even repeated on the door panels for a nice uniform look.
There's plenty of room to spread out, and there's even provisions
for an AM/FM/CD stereo to keep everyone entertained. You get a
Lecarra sports steering wheel mounted on a tilt column, and beyond
that are newer Classic Instruments gauges set into the bright
vintage dash. You'll especially love how these readouts have iconic
Mooneye markings, including on the large tach.
The engine bay has a terrific look as the dark and smooth walls
make this motor look like its radiating power. All those polished
components on this 350 cubic-inch V8 look terrific, including the
ribbed valve covers, matching air topper, fan shroud, alternator,
and much more. But what you'll really love is that this V8 has the
unmistakable look of power that comes from two Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetors sitting on top. Not only does this motor
inhale deeply, but also the shorty headers add more power while
letting this exhale freely through the rumbling dual exhaust. The
enhanced V8 feeds a stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission
on its way to an upgraded 10-bolt rear end. Plus, with a Nova
independent front suspension, power steering, and front disc
brakes, this classic Olds is now an easy cruiser.
