1990 Cadillac Eldorado
Originally derived from "El Hombre Dorado" meaning man in gold,
this king's coronation included him being covered in gold dust,
then submerged into a sacred river. The story then changed to "Lost
City of Gold" which fascinated the Spanish explorers for centuries,
although all to no avail. Finally, in the early 1900's, after many
attempts, the story was realized as myth, and trying to find the
King's lost civilization or his city were given up on.
For consignment a collector owned 1-owner 1990 Eldorado Biarritz.
This outstanding example with a mere 32,000 original miles, always
garage kept, never driven in snow, and drives like it just left the
showroom. Fastidiously maintained, you cannot go wrong with this
throwback to an era when the Caddys were small! Pre Northstar if
you will.
Exterior
Finished in beautiful original Light Primrose Yellow, and Biarritz
luxury 1/4 coach roof in matching vinyl, and Biarritz badging. This
steel bodied car is still straight and true, very clean, and well
preserved. A power antenna and power exterior mirror are just a few
of the conveniences that are loaded on this example. Body side
moldings adorn the car at its mid-section, and include black vinyl,
a wide stainless trim piece, and 3 dimensional moldings with chrome
spears inserted. A beautiful set of Cadillac wire hubcaps are on
all 4 corners and are wrapped with brand new rubber. (Original

Interior
Yellow door panels are clean and show no signs of wear. The yellow
tufted and buttoned power buckets in front are showing no wear or
blemishes. The rear bench may have never been sat in, it's that
good. The center console with wood appliqu� has a puffy armrest
next to the buckets and it is wrapped in yellow leather. Square and
rectangle design brown dash fronts the seats, and has a yellow
interior matching lower front. Nice plush clean brown carpeting
floats the seating and the headliner may have never even been
looked at, until I just did! A digital dash, cooooold A/C (R134A)
and an AC Delco premium symphony sound system with cassette player
are just the beginning of a long list of conveniences.
Drivetrain
A strong 273ci 4.5-liter fuel injected V8 sits within the confines
of the original engine bay. All of which is very clean and has been
meticulously armor-alled. A TH440-T4 (4T60) 4-speed automatic
transmission is attached to the back of the V8
Undercarriage
As one would expect from as low mileage car from 1990, there is
patina, and absolutely no rust, surface or otherwise. Amazingly
well preserved, sound structurally, and well presenting. No shame
under here, 4-wheel independent coil spring suspension, and power
disc brakes all around.
Drive-Ability
Truly upon getting in you are sucked in the lap of luxury. The car
idles very smoothly, and you cannot even hear the engine. It shifts
like a dream, and rides as such to boot. The stereo is worth the
price of admission, and the air blows super cold. I loved the
digital dash, and all the buttons and whistles I could play with
while trying to keep my eyes on the test area. Great low mileage
driver.
When a collector owns a car, there is just another level of a
watchful eye as to any problems and if they crop up, they are
remediated immediately. An all original version right out of 1990,
and great shape, great boulevard cruiser and great preservation. I
double dog dare you to find a better example...
