1929 Ford Street Rod - Even if you could circle the world and view the almost 5 million Model A's ever produced, you'd still never see one like this! This beauty was a no-expense-spared build ($160,756 to be exact) that is widely recognized for its quality and was thus featured in two different magazines in 2014. In addition to the information we're providing, further details can be found in both Rod & Custom (April 2014) and Street Rodder (August 2014). This frame-off restoration was completed in mid-2012 and, as mentioned, was definitely no "budget-build". Highlights of the build include; All steel body, Exceptional PPG Sunset Gold Metallic (2010 Ford) paint, Custom painted Model A box frame, Vega steering box, Chromed Super Bell dropped axle, Ford 8" rear, Pete & Jakes front/rear 4 bar, Custom painted coil-over shocks, Super Bell front disc brakes, stainless brake lines, 15" powder-coated Wheel Vintiques, and shaved radial tires. The power plant is a 3.8L Buick V6 (same as Grand National minus the turbo) with a mild cam and 4-barrel carburetor. This motor is paired to a TH-350 transmission which features a chromed oil pan, bell housing, and case. New American Autowiring was also installed throughout the vehicle. Moving to the inside we find a custom designed interior with a 30's look. The seats, door panels, and lower dash are covered in a black euro leather. The dash is a 32-style Brookville dash in flat black with Classic Instrument gauges in Hot Rod White. Tilt Steering was provided from Flaming River and the cabin is kept cool with a new Vintage Air system. A top of the line sound system and security system were installed to finish out the build.
