SOME HISTORY
I had a 1969 Trans Am when I live in Pennsylvania and got rid of it during the gas rationing. One of my many mistakes in life. I moved to Tucson, AZ in 1980, and one of my clients, Quebedeaux Pontiac, knew I liked Trans Am cars as I had a picture of a black Trans Am in my office. When they made me an offer of the car for training I do, I told him my 69 Trans Am was white but he said, "Sorry, the picture in your office is black." So that's what I ended up with. Because it was Tucson I had the black louvers installed on the back and put the carpet on the dash. The dash still cracked. I had the console covered in cloth as the vinyl kept sticking to my arm.
I moved to Waco, Texas in 1985. The car was my everyday car for many years. Usually in the rain when I wasn't on my motorcycle. I got married in 2003 and acquired another vehicle so the Trans Am spent most of it's time in the garage. I did sell it once to a police officer who promised to restore it like new but ended getting it back because it needed a new master cylinder. No big deal, I have a mechanic who likes to work on the car and keeps it in good running order. At this point, with 4 vehicles and just two people, I think it's time to sell it to someone who has more time and motivation to take care of it the way it deserves. This is why I wanted to keep it stock. Had some people who wanted to put a bigger engine in it and turn it into a race car recently. If that's what you want, find another car.
I continue to work on it from time to time. Put on new windshield piller post covers and now looking for hood insulation. Want to get the gas tank cleaned or replaced as my mechanic is suggesting it.
