This is a 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider with only 30,173 genuine recorded miles. This example is believed to be the most original and low mileage in existence. Service records, and detailed history of the car from delivery is available with the vehicle.
According to documentation files this Giulietta Spider, chassis number AR 1495.09489, was manufactured on April 27th, 1960 and sold on May 3rd, 1960 in Beirut, Lebanon. The body color was white with red interior.
All documentation confirms that the vehicle was purchased new by George Diamond in 1960 in Beirut, while he was working in the British forces there. History from him returning to the UK in 1964 with the car, to current date, appears to be both remarkable and correct and has been corroborated by several parties in the research included with the vehicle.
Mr. Diamond shipped the car to Liverpool on July 20th, 1964. He used the car until 1966, after which it was taken off the road and stored in a garage in Southport. It was then purchased by John Myerscough in 1992.
Richard Banks of Alfaholics completed a sympathetic restoration that included a bare metal respray and attention to mechanical and chassis components that required work after its 25 year lay up. Structurally the car required no attention, all the panels are original together with its original trim.
This is truly a one of a kind vehicle with a history to match. The extensive history research, service records and photographs with previous owners comes with the vehicle and are available for review.
