Vehicle Description
By 1970, the classic Land Rover of the 40's and 50's had been
upgraded in both style and performance, and this fantastic matching
numbers example exhibits all those developments. The head lamps
were moved out wide, the cabin ventilation improved, and power
brakes were added, but one thing did not change - the rugged
durability and off-road capabilities are still there for you to
enjoy today.
This fully restored Series IIA example is completely numbers
matching, with a freshly rebuilt 2.25 liter gas engine, a fresh new
interior, and the factory 4-speed manual gearbox. While the body
was off the chassis, every painted surface was meticulously
refinished, making this example just about as close as you can get
today to purchasing a brand new Landy. See for yourself why a
well-restored Land Rover is still considered one of the most
capable off-road vehicles in the world, and an iconic collectible
the world over.
Bid on this car in person at the RAND Luxury Auction on October
12th.
