Vehicle Description
The mid-engine Ferrari Testarossa made its debut at the Paris Motor
Show in 1984 as a successor to the Berlinetta Boxer. The
Pininfarina-designed Testarossa set the world on notice with design
that broke the boundaries of tradition, and became a cultural icon
of supercar performance, not to mention every kid's bedroom wall.
The Testarossa offered today can run 0-60 MPH time of 5.3 seconds
and hit a top speed of 180 MPH, all in a sleek Rossa Corsa package
with a white leather interior.
The 4.9-liter V-12 engine was the most powerful production engine
of its time and with four camshafts and four valves per cylinder,
the V-12 was factory rated for 380 horsepower at 5,750 RPM and 354
lbs-ft of torque. With incredible road manners and an old-school
gated 4-speed gearbox, this lovely and highly original Testarossa
is a 2-owner car, and a rare single mirror variant of the landmark
supercar of the 80's.
Bid on this car in person at the RAND Luxury Auction on October
12th.
