Vehicle Description
Check out this 1972 AMC Jeep CJ5! This vehicle was built by
Miller's Classics in NY. Miller has recently passed away so his
vehicles are highly sought after. The Current owners Uncle
commissioned this vehicle to be built to his specifications at a
cost of $89,000 in the late 90's. It was used rarely at summer
fairs. The engine is a built, blueprinted and balanced 390 from a
correct era AMC AMX with a nice cam shaft. The transmission is
automatic. The transfer case is a Borge Warner Muncie. It has 2 1/2
ton Rockwell axles with axle disc brakes. It has dual Carter 4 bbl
on a Offenhauser manifold. The winch is a Ramsey 8,000 lbs. The
rear wheels can turn hydraulically. If you turn the front wheels
the opposite way and step on the throttle since it's always in 4
wheel drive: the truck will spin crazy in a circle. The hood opens
hydraulically as does the rear tailgate. The 44' Dirt Dawg tires
are like new. Entrance is 50' off the ground so a step ladder is
probably needed. Extensive use of stainless everywhere and
everything is hand made and custom. The frame is 12'x 1.5' channel.
It has about 25 hrs on it. The truck runs great you do need 4
zipper axle boots which are $75 each on eBay. This vehicle would
cost $125,000 to build now. This vehicle is titled and registered
in California for the road but it would need street tires and mud
flaps for road use. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is
