This 1987 Grand has only 34,555 Actual/Original Miles and is in the universally sought after Deep Night Blue finish. She has been an extremely low mile, registered southern state Wagoneer her entire life and down to that, has never rolled over an inch of snow or road salt. One very strong undercarriage here. We just restored this very unique and important Grand back in 2016 for a gentleman who owns a chain of Jeep dealerships. Since our restoration, the owner shuttled this special Grand amongst his various new car showrooms. She was spotlighted and featured as part of Jeep’s SUV history on each of his dealership’s showroom floors. A doctor then purchased her and she rotated in and out of his collection, all together this Grand has traveled under 3,000 miles since our restoration.
That ever popular Deep Night Blue paint was applied by us back in 2016. The wood siding and wood trim, from Team Grand Wagoneer, were likewise redone at the same time. A new front grill frame was also fitted. We installed whitewall tires and a new spare tire was mounted to the undercarriage. The other exterior chrome/aluminum bits, wheels, center caps, bumpers and all the rest, while not in new condition are exhibiting just normal aging and are reflective of the low mile, southern climate usage. If you would like this Grand to really pop, you can have the wheels refinished for just under $1,500.00
The tan leather interior looks lovely. The leather portion of the seats have been re-coated, along with the dashboard. and all of the floor carpeting is brand new. That includes the entire flooring in both the cabin area, as well as cargo area floors, cargo area sides and inner tailgate. Just the original factory carpeting affixed to the back of the seats and lower door panels is original as the carpeting there never receive wear. Custom Grand Wagoneer floor mats protect the new flooring.
The Wagoneers standard and optional accessories are all spinning as they should. That includes everything from the air conditioning & heat, all 5 power windows, (the tailgate window operates via the tailgate key only), power seats, power mirrors, power door locks and even the normally finicky cruise control. A modern AM/FM/CD stereo has also been installed.
The engine, transmission and the 4 wheel drive were all serviced heavily by us and then well maintained by her current owner’s professional in house service staff. What a special piece indeed this one is and one that has lived a very charmed life.
