European Motor Studio is very excited to offer this 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL finished in a very rare and unusual color combination of Blue-Black Metallic over Medium Red leather interior. After leaving the Stuttgart factory in October of 1986, this R107 SL was invoiced to Mercedes-Benz of North America where it was shipped to Powers Motor CO. in Morristown NJ and sold on December 23, 1986 to its first owner, Gray Supply Corp of Dover NJ. In December of 1990 Gray Supply Corp bought the car out of the lease from Mercedes-Benz Corporate and owned the car until October of 2007 when it was sold to a private collector out of New Jersey. This 560SL has covered a mere 21,000 miles since brand new and shows incredibly well. The striking Blue-Black Metallic paint is in beautiful condition with virtually no chips, scratches or damage anywhere. The body is completely straight and rust free and no signs of any prior damage or accident repair is visible. All of the chrome and trim is in exceptional original condition. The Medium Red leather interior is near showroom and is almost free from any creasing on the leather seats. The driver seat bolster shows incredibly well with minimum age. The original carpets are spotless and the original wood is completely untouched and crack free. The dashboard is in perfect condition free from any cracks or damage. The original softop is fits perfectly and closes with ease. The original hardtop is in excellent condition with one scratch on the passenger side (pictured). The 5.6 liter V8 engine has just undergone a service and runs beautifully. The car is free from any smoke on start up or acceleration and shifts through all of the gears with ease. The suspension and steering is tight and precise and free from any clunking or looseness. The front pads and rotors have just been done and feel excellent. The car has newer tires and the original 15 inch rims are in excellent condition with a couple small rash marks to the front passenger side wheel. All of the electronics in the car are operating as designed including the AC, heater, power windows and mirror, locks, cruise control, power antenna and factory original Becker radio. This R107 is in absolutely stunning condition finished in striking colors that fit the car perfectly. Accompanying the sale of this SL are all of the original owners handbooks and service books, the original owners metal data plate, new dealer signatures and stampings, original tool roll, original unused spare tire with original Mercedes tag still in place and the original jack. A clean and clear Carfax and title is also present with the car.
