1978 Ford F150, Custom, 4WD, shortbed

Immaculate ’78 F150 with 99,000 original miles, garage kept since purchased new. I’m 2nd owner and I have all original paperwork from Ted Britt Ford, Virginia as special order / showroom model. This truck has factory tan cloth bucket seats, fold down arm-rests, center console with arm-rest, sliding rear window, sport steering wheel, roll bar, grille guard, factory aluminum 9.5” turbine wheels, sway bar, quad shocks & bedliner. The truck was repainted approx. 20 years ago – custom paint scheme @ around $10K cost.

Original motor was 351M which has been replaced with custom-built 460, has C6 automatic and NP205 transfer case, 3.50 gear ratios, factory limited slip / posi rear. TCI 3000 RPM, 10” converter & TCI shift kit with factory transmission fluid cooler.

Motor specs: (everything is brand new with exception of block, crank, rods & oil pan)

All factory gauges are functional – aftermarket oil pressure and water temp gauges are plumbed in series with factory gauges. New gas tank installed approx. 2 years ago. The C6 transmission has a TCI shift kit, adjustable modulator and a 3000 TCI stall converter.

This truck is basically perfect, fun to drive, carries approx. 85 PSI oil pressure cold and 50 – 60 PSI @ 180°F operating temperature. Even though the camshaft is on the wild side, motor produces about 12” vacuum at idle and power brakes work fine. Has AM/FM stereo with cassette player, amplifier & aftermarket speakers.
