This custom, yet classic 1940 Dodge DeSoto combines classic styling
with modern comforts and appearance. Painted in blue and white with
blacked out front and rear bumper and tinted windows, this DeSoto
sports a unique presentation. The 15'' Keystone wheels also help to
give this Dodge a more muscular appearance. There is no lack of
muscle under the hood, as this DeSoto was originally fit with a 100
HP engine that had people in shock back at that time, and this
upgraded 429 CID big block Ford backed by the venerable C6 3-speed
will most definitely leave you in shock now. This 429 sports an
Edelbrock carburetor, headers, and pushes its power through a true
dual exhaust. The underpinnings lack no modernization either, with
the addition of a GM front clip which allows for better handling as
well as the addition of power front disc brakes. Underneath sets a
GM 10-bolt rear end with a 2:73 gear. This ride also has been
equipped with air suspension at the rear. Inside you'll find modern
grey cloth bucket seats, a tilt wheel, custom paneling, console,
and a B&M racing shifter. Complete with all of the components
for a custom hot rod, this DeSoto is offered as a blank canvas to
take whichever direction you wish.
