Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this spectacular 1962
Austin Healey BT7 3000 Mark II 2+2 in beautiful condition. This car
has been completely restored; it looks amazing, runs great, and is
an excellent driver. This Austin Healey is priced to sell, always
turns heads, and gets a TON of attention going down the road. It
received a Gold level certification from the Austin Healey Concours
Registry. The award is still with the car and pictured below. The
car is finished in the beautiful and highly desirable color
combination of Bright Blue over Dark Blue. Please peruse all of the
photos, numbers, video, and information below to get a true sense
of how nice, clean, and striking this Austin Healey really is. This
3000 Mark II comes with a wealth of original documentation and
records. This 1962 Austin Healey was purchased brand new on
September 15, 1962 from "The Auto Show" in Pawtucket, RI. The
original Bill of Sale from that dealership, signed by the original
owner, is still with the car and pictured below. Interestingly, the
Bill of Sale shows that the original owner traded in a 1960
Volkswagen on this Austin Healey. The original Conditional Sales
Contract and financing form is also included with the car and
pictured below.
The car also comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust
Certified Copy of a Factory Record and a British Motor Industry
Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate. There is a
stamping on the engine pictured below, "29E-RU-H/5321." This is the
correct number according to the British Motor Industry Heritage
Trust Factory Record. The gearbox number, 3128, and body
number,18811, are also correct and pictured below.
The removable soft-top, (hood), removable side windows, and tonneau
cover are included with this Austin Healey. The car is also well
optioned with wire wheels and functional overdrive.
As a side note, this Austin Healey is not a dealer auction vehicle.
We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Corvettes come
from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give
the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Mark II, just give us a call.
Exterior
The bright blue exterior is in fantastic driver condition. As one
can see in the photos the finish has dazzling gloss, deep shine,
and smooth finished. The chrome bumpers and other bight work on the
car look wonderful with a brilliant finish and no rust or pitting.
Both doors open and shut nicely. The knock off wheels are in
excellent condition with a nice finish and no curb rash. The tires
are sized 165/80R15 with 95% tread left. The frame and everything
else on the car is completely solid. I encourage you to closely
inspect the many underside photos to see how truly clean the car
is. There are absolutely no rust issues with the car what so ever
and the underside looks great.
This Austin Healey looks just as good in person as it does in the
photos.
Interior
The Bright Blue interior of the 3000 Mark II is in outstanding
condition. The seats look lovely with no holes, splits, or
excessive wear. They are not worn in the typical area on the
bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is in great
condition with no rips or holes. The chrome and other brightwork
inside the car has a terrific finish and looks great overall. The
dash and console are in nice condition with no fading or sun
damage. The gauge faces are nice and clean and the lenses are crisp
and clear. The door panels are in excellent condition. The
convertible top (hood) and tonneau cover are in excellent condition
with no tears or holes. The rear window in soft-top looks great, it
is not scratched, foggy, or yellowed.
The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the
photos.
Mechanical
This Austin Healey seems to be in good mechanical condition. The
car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. The
car is an awesome driver that feels great on the road and at
highway speeds. In the video below one can see the car accelerating
on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears,
braking to stoplight, accelerating away, and going through some
curves. Please note that it shifts properly, there are no strange
vibrations, and the car performs quite well overall. There is no
blue smoke when starting or driving the car. The brakes are
responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The
transmission shifts well and the shifter is tight. The clutch feels
good. This Austin Healey has plenty of power for it's size and is
quite nimble. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean,
detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos.
The horn works as do all the exterior lights, indicators, and
wipers. All of the gauges work. The fan for the heater works. The
dash lights work as one can see in the video. The headlights and
brights work. As with many other older carbureted cars, this Austin
Healey is cold blooded. Not enough can be said as to how much of a
pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the top down on a
beautiful day and the 4-speed transmission.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK II 2+2 is in excellent
condition. It is a Gold Level award winner from the Austin Healey
Concours Registry. We have this Austin Healey priced to sell. The

of these cars has gone up exponentially in recent years. They are
all solid investments for a collector. This is especially true for
highly desirable examples like this Mark II. This Austin Healey
