Vehicle Description
1985 Chrysler Executive Limousine
Limousine-A large, luxurious automobile, especially one driven by a
chauffeur who is separated from the passengers by a partition. "The
Prince was whisked away in a black limousine"
So, you want to live ostentatiously? Have an itch to own something
no one else in your neighborhood will have? Have the ability to be
driven anywhere you want to go and not have to lift a foot? Then
this is the car for you. For consignment we present a bit of class
in kitsch form, long and impressive, large and in charge, and
loaded with more crushed velour than you can shake a stick at. We
give you this K car executive limo. Which happens to be owning it,
in lots of space here at Classic Auto Mall.
Exterior
White on white on white on white adorns the long limo, with an
extra wide B pillar and rear door, and massive luggage space.
Slightly scratched and a ding or two along the way, the white steel
panels are certainly straight. What chrome it has currently
attached, shows some dulling, de-lamination, rusting and pitting,
however, retains its overall shine. Standard Chrysler body matching
centered, and chromed outer ringed wheel covers are on all 4
corners. Noted is a crystalline Chrysler star within the hood
ornament, and this alone is worth the price of admission.
Interior
It does not get any better than overstuffed, tufted and buttoned,
dark blue crushed velour drivers and passengers' front buckets. And
they are power adjustable. Seen on the blue velour covered door
panels are power windows, power mirrors, power locks, all in the
confines of burl appliqus. The piece de resistance is definitely
the rear passenger area. Cordoned off by plastic, all activity and
conversations will remain private. More crushed velour in the form
of foldable jump seats are embedded in the separating panel. These
flank a protruding rectangle wrapped in velour and more appliqu
which houses an AM/FM/Cassette player with equalizer and surround
sound controls, and a stowage flip down. More tufted, overstuffed
buttoned, deep blue velour seats are in the very back, and these
are in bench form. These seats present nicely and are free of dirt
and soiling. Headliner is looking a bit saggy, and floors are
covered with slightly faded carpeting.
Drivetrain
Opening the hood, we note an original, dust covered, corroded
engine bay. Residing within its confines, is a 2.6-liter Mitsubishi
4 cylinder that has a knock. A 3-speed automatic transmission is
attached to the back.
Undercarriage
Amazingly clean, straight steel panels, which have seen the inside
of a garage for most of its life. Slight surface rust, and plenty
of floor panels to accommodate the extra length.
A seldom seen, or known about K car limousine, ready to hit the
road to success, right here in the land of opportunity. The right
owner could have some fun with this one, and even bring in some
income if marketed correctly. All running, all long white straight
panels, and all blue velour.
