The Chevrolet Chevelle has long been synonymous with pure American muscle. With its sporty styling and reputation for performance, it’s no wonder that it was the most popular mid-sized car in America. 1972 saw the end of the second generation of Chevelles, which is one of the most sought-after generations today.
This gorgeous 1972 Chevelle SS clone is finished in Bright Red and features sporty Black racing stripes. Its base coat/clear coat finish has a beautiful luster that is further accentuated by its chrome and brightwork that is in excellent condition. Dual chrome-tipped exhaust pipes and American Racing wheels complete the look.
The interior is equally sporty, featuring Black vinyl strato bucket seats and a center console. The seating areas, carpeting, dashboard and interior door panels are in very good condition. You’ll also appreciate its high-quality custom “Chevelle” floor mats and tilt steering wheel. Its full battery of Summit gauges, including a tachometer, will keep you fully informed about its performance.
Under the hood you will find a neatly detailed and heavily chromed engine compartment. Powered by a built 350 CID V-8 block with a 4-bolt main from a 1979 truck and a TH 350 automatic transmission with a shift kit, this Chevelle features many performance upgrades, including the following:
Other recent updates include the following:
Its power front disc brakes and power steering will keep you firmly in control at the helm. Having been driven less than 1,000 miles since being rebuilt, this Chevelle runs and drives as well as it looks.
Once item of note is that the clock and radio are not currently functioning. In addition, although this car was originally equipped with factory air conditioning, it is no longer with the car. Total mileage is unknown.
If an early 70s muscle car with “the look” is what you desire, look no further than this stunning 1972 Chevelle.
