Vehicle Description
Looking for a bona fide head turner that looks like nothing else on
the road? Get behind the wheel of this 2002 Chrysler Prowler. It
features one of the most distinctive designs ever to roll off an
assembly line - an inspired mix of vintage and futuristic
sensibilities. Having logged only about 6500 miles, it's just now
past the "break in" stage and has its best miles still ahead of
it.
Despite being in production for five model years, only a relatively
scant 11,700 Prowlers were actually made, so the collectability
factor of this model is plenty strong. Its one of a kind design
borrows heavily from the vintage hot rods of the past, including
that of Chrysler International Design Director Thomas Gale's own
'32 roadster. Sporting an Indy-inspired, open wheel front end that
elevates as it transitions to raised rear fenders that give the
appearance that it's coiled and ready to strike, this Prowler wears
a high-impact yellow exterior that's still in top form - even the
low-slung front nose is unusually blemish free - and nicely
accented by a pair of black splash guards just behind the doors.
The contrasting front bumpers have been removed to amplify this
Chrysler's already standout appearance and are included with the
car. The featured black canvas convertible top is also in great
condition and stands ready to protect you from darkening skies.
Climb inside and you'll find yourself in the middle of a
driver-centric, nicely configured interior, at the center of which
is a pair of contoured leather bucket seats that are easily moved
to just the right position for comfortable driving with just a
flick of a lever. Just as you'd likely expect from such a lightly
driven car - even one that offers such a temptation for spirited
driving as this one does - the entire cockpit is in terrific shape.
Fresh carpet, punctuated by badged floor mats, lines the floor and
the door panels to each side show no discoloration or sun damage at
all - definitely a welcome sight in a UV- sensitive, convertible
interior dressed in black. While the Prowler's unique appearance
might lead you to think that it's configured more for novelty than
frequent use, such is not the case. It's a well-equipped ride,
providing keyless entry, cruise control, power windows and door
locks, air conditioning that's blowing cold and strong and an
AM/FM/Cassette stereo working side by side with a multi-disc CD
changer and powerful 320 watt amplifier to provide a strong audio
experience.

The 3.5 liter V6 occupying center stage in a clean engine
compartment is not only very likely the original powerplant, but
also impressively efficient, generating well over one horsepower
for each of its cubic inches and capable of propelling this Prowler
to sub-6 second 0-60 times. The engine runs flawlessly and sounds
great as it teams with a 4-speed automatic transmission with an
electronically controlled overdrive gear to make for a high
functioning and user-friendly drivetrain. Smooth power steering
pairs with the Prowler's road-hugging stance and stabilizer bars to
make for excellent handling, while power disc brakes at all four
corners bring rapid stops. Equipped with plenty of distinction to
draw attention, yet also thoroughly well equipped to provide a
comfortable driving experience, this one of a kind ride cruises on
a set of staggered chrome wheels - 17" in front and 20" in back to
accentuate its aggressively inclined stance - wrapped with Goodyear
tires.
Seamlessly mixing elements of vintage roadsters with more modern
rides, this 2002 Chrysler Prowler offers a compelling driving
experience and will readily stand out in any crowd. Call today!
