Vehicle Description
This 1978 Ford F250 is a Tennessee truck that was stored indoors
and was a barn find. It was a great find as the truck was
well-preserved. The last owner had the truck selectively restored
3-4 years ago and it was done very well. This was a 2 Owner truck
when it was found and the truck was always well cared for. We do
have the original Dealer Invoice and sales Sheet which is pretty
cool. The body on this truck is really nice and very straight. It
was repainted in Light Chamois (Tan) and Coral. The original colors
were Light Chamois and Medium Copper. The underside of this truck
is also very clean and solid. The underside was power washed and
painted black. We found no evidence of rust or rust repair. All of
the chrome and stainless look to be original and are in great
condition. It is clear this truck was stored indoors and taken care
of. The interior is also very very nice. It looks to be all
original with the exception of the seat being recovered. When we
went through with our basic inspection we found everything to be
working.
Other than paint and the seat, the only other thing to be addressed
was having the 400M V8 engine rebuilt. This was done at 115,460
miles and there are roughly 25,000 miles on the rebuild. The engine
is believed to be the original to the truck and it runs excellent!!
We did not get the receipts, but we do have a journal showing
mileage when rebuilt along with entries detailing fill ups, oil
changes, etc. The last owner was very detailed. Transmission is a
NP535 4 Speed Manual that shifts nice. Rear Axle is a Dana 60 with
4.11 Gears and it is a Limited Slip Rear End. Front Axle is a Dana
44 with 4.11 Gears. Mechanically this is a very stock truck that
runs and drives excellent!!
