Vehicle Description
A "Ravenhawk" was built by a company called Contemporary Classics,
a company started by a retired Boeing engineer back in the early
2000's. The car was built in 2008 and I have had it registered and
on the road up here in NY. The idea here was to make a car that
looked like a 1933 Ford roadster but drove like something sold
today. The base car is actually a C5 Corvette with all the drive
train and chassis pretty much in place. It is meant to be reliable
and be fixed at a Chevy dealer. The LS2 engine has 405 HP and it
has a 6 speed manual transmission. It has power steering, power
brakes, a/c, power top and great stereo as well as a backup camera,
proximity warning and remote alarm and locks. Every works. It is
comfortable and weather tight with the top up. A well engineered
hot rod. I believe that there where a couple of dozen made and sold
and the original sticker was north of 100K.
A modern reliable Hot Rod that handles like a sports car with all
the driving conveniences.
