1957 Mercury Monterey 2-door hardtop. First time offered, 86K
actual documented miles. Outstanding shiny original finish code 252
(Pastel Peach/Tuxedo Black/Pastel Peach). Always garaged,
maintained and pampered from day one. Born/built in LA and
delivered to Quincy, WA a small central Washington town. Have
original Bill of Sale and registrations to 1965. Then moved to
south central small town of Poplar Bluff, MO till now We've been
trying to acquire this totally rust-free gem for a long time. She
is also straight as they get (important in the long collector
cars). All chrome and stainless and emblems are excellent. Original
interior is gorgeous and excellent condition throughout. Black and
white(Code 786-A) nylon and vinyl bolsters. Optional clock and
radio with cool stock right front fender angled antenna. Excellent
original seats, headliner, visors, door panels and carpet. Cool
old-school desirable seat-belts. All interior dash knobs, clear
gauges, chrome trim and cranks are like new. All lights in and out
work. Iconic push-button automatic transmission works sweet.
Excellent original trunk mat and under mat still looks new.
Excellent cool stock steering wheel and horn ring. Desirable
"clean-looking" last year for single headlights. Stock, cool
Continental kit (not a fake add-on) holds a real spare and built
strong and swings left to open trunk. Detailed original 312CI V8/4
BL, stock 255HP (only 35HP less than a 368ci). Runs strong and
quiet. Desirable power steering and power brake options. Original
washer bottle, even original keys. Quiet new dual exhaust, dual
mirrors, excellent full tinted glass. Iconic long skirts (easy off
if prefer) and excellent radial tires. Turnkey and too much fun.
Impress everyone that sees her. Cool iconic front and rear matching
visor looking roof lines. Crazy, but if this was a 1957 Chevy
hardtop it would be $15-20K more! Even though 1.3 million Chevys
were made. Go to any larger car show and there is a dozen or more
Chevys there, and likely you will have the only 1957 Mercury
Monterey there and draw attention left and right, especially in her
great 1950's black and peach original paint and equipment. In myy
