Two (2) owners, originally delivered on June 28, 1968, by Universal
Motor Cars in Los Angeles, California for a total cash price of
$5,766.40. Delivery options included: 5 gauge, bumper horns, tinted
glass, chrome wheels, and a Blaupunkt AM-FM radio.
Finished in its factory color combination of Light Ivory over the
original Black leatherette interior in excellent condition. Very
straight body with excellent gaps and panel fit. Paintwork is
all-original with the exception of the front bumper & hood that
have been re-sprayed. Being 90% original paint, there are a few
chips and scratches but the paintwork shows beautifully. The
interior is in very good condition and has been well preserved with
VDM wood steering wheel and 5 gauges. The undercarriage is all
original and rust-free. Mechanically, the 912 runs and drives
phenomenally with its matching 1600cc engine paired with a 4-speed
manual transmission. Serviced by some of the best air-cooled
mechanics in Southern California. The engine was rebuilt in 2012
and only has 10,000 miles. Believed to be 62k original miles
according to the 1st owner. Lots of cool documentation, in Southern
California its entire life. Offered with original purchase invoice,
Porsche Maintenance book, 2 keys, antenna keys both black plates,
owner's manual, spare key, Certificate of Authenticity, tool kit,

History
The original run of the 912, built between 1965 and 1969. The 1968
example exhibits the one-year-only unique door panels. The 912
engine was a 1,582cc pushrod flat-four from the 356SC, which
produced 102hp in 1968. A side benefit of owning a 912 involves
weight, about 250 lbs less than a 911, virtually all of the extra
weight of a 911 is at the extreme rear of the vehicle.
