Vehicle Description
Finished in Bronze/beige metallic over light tan, this genuine
European version on the E24 chassis 6 series BMW is a unique find
for the Bimmerphile.....just in time for end of summer holiday
cruising! It features a recently rebuilt and very good running 3.5
liter inline six cylinder engine mated to the factory 5 speed
manual transmission, electric windows and sunroof, leather seating
[I am also including an extra pair of black manual sport seats],
17' Beyren mesh alloy wheels with good Continental rubber, front
and rear spoilers, original chrome Euro bumpers and genuine German
markings for on board computer and hvac dials. The currently
NON-working odometer shows 165,964 miles so it is being sold TMU
[true miles unknown]. Offered here with a low, four-figure reserve,
far less than the cost of the sales tax alone on a new and quickly
depreciating 6er, this nearly 35 year-old BMW coupe is being sold
with clean Nevada title and current California smog certificate
[8/26/19]. THE BODY AND TRIM This exterior of this 1985 Bimmer is
in fair, 99.9% dry, rust-free condition with LOTS OF PATINA which
includes many nicks, scratches and clear coat blemishes. THE
INTERIOR The interior of this 1985 BMW is in fair, sun-tattered
condition throughout. Some good elements include nice three-spoke
sport steering wheel, working check panel, working windows and
sunroof, working lights and blinkers, etc.. Imperfections include
many dash cracks, worn seats, one broken hvac slider, poor radio
reception from broken antenna, ac inoperable [have not diagnosed],
missing rear speaker covers but owner is providing an extra pair
for new owner. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This 1985 Shark-nose BMW
starts well with good running engine that was rebuilt by the
previous owner. It sounds fresh with no smoking though it could use
a fresh tank or two after sitting for many years. Owner just had
new wires, plugs, fuel pump and a few other items addressed. The
transmission shifts well.
