Vehicle Description
1983 Volkswagen Rabbit Convertible is a fun little summer toy, but
owner needs to make some room in the garage. Same owner for last 5
years. It runs well and looks great. The paint and body work are a
few years old, the top is newer. The radiator and hoses were
replaced. The injectors and fuel pump were professionally done a
couple of years back. The clunky US bumpers and trim have been
replaced with aftermarket euro trim. Exhaust was replaced this
summer. It rides on coil overs at all four corners and all
suspension components were replaced with poly bushings; the ride is
stiff but it looks good and corners on rails! Owner really does
love this car and has put a lot of work into it. Please do not
consider this an everyday driver unless you plan to put more work
into it. It is a 36 year old toy. Owner did not update the
interior, the air conditioning was removed and its doubtful the
heater works owner never tried it. it leaks a little coolant (water
pump gasket) and the tachometer and fuel gauge work intermittently.
this is a common issue that usually requires replacing the voltage
regulator on the dash cluster. Owner also has a set of VW White
Snowflake rims, the original bumpers for the car, as well as the
original suspension. The front is new the rear is old. Please Note
