Vehicle Description
Rare modern classic 1986 Chevrolet El Camino SS pickup! Finished in
gloss black with silver striping, this factory Super Sport edition
features a great running 305 cubic inch 5.0 liter V8 engine mated
to the factory automatic transmission with original alloy wheels
and white-lettered tires, air conditioning, bucket seats, electric
windows, center console, updated cd stereo and tilt wheel. This 33
year-old example is being sold with clean and clear California
title, current 2020 registration, recent smog test, original
owner's manual and build sheet paperwork and is a great value. THE
BODY AND TRIM This exterior of this 1986 Chevy is in good to very
good, 99.99% dry, rust-free condition with a nice overall shine to
the gloss black paint. I would consider this a 'very nice
ten-footer' with various expected minor nicks and scratches, some
paint cracking and fading on what looks to be the original finish
on the factory rally wheels. Thirty plus years later this is still
one attention-getting classic with a great presence on the road!
THE INTERIOR The interior of this 1986 El Camino is in good to very
good quite original condition overall with most all gauges in
excellent working order. The air conditioning blows cool but not
super cold, the electric windows, lights, odometer, horn, blinkers,
stereo all work well. Imperfections inside this rig include
inoperable tachometer needle, some heat cracks on the dash topper,
some expected wear on the seat upholstery and some staining on the
grey carpeting. Overall this is one still cool classic cockpit. THE
DRIVING EXPERIENCE This 1986 Chevy starts well with good running
5.0 liter V8 engine that just received a carburetor overhaul. The
acceleration is a strong as it should be, the transmission shifts
well, the steering is responsive and smooth along with solid
suspension feel and braking feel.
