Vehicle Description
1969 Cadillac Coupe Deville Convertible Have had this car for 12
years now and it has been great. This car is the perfect beach
cruiser, ice cream getter, country road or highway road trip
machine. The body is solid, the frame and floors are solid, the
seats have been re-stuffed and are comfortable. The best thing
about this car is the drive train: the engine is less than 5000
miles from a crank-out rebuild and runs great. The tranny was newly
replaced by the owner before us, and therefore has about 15k on it.
The car goes, steers and stops like it should. The windows go up
and down, the wipers and lights and horn work. Never got to the
top: it is there, and will keep the rain off your head and out of
the car for the most part. It needs a hand assist to come up. It
won't keep the weather out of the car if it is stored outdoors. We
normally took it out of the winter storage and put the top down for
the summer and it stayed in the garage when not in use. Only put
the top up if we got caught out in the rain. This car is not
perfect. There are a couple of places where the paint has a bubble,
the door handles have been shaved (the poppers work fine), the side
trim has been shaved. There are some blemishes on the chrome. The
interior has been re-dyed from brown to black, and the dye has worn
off in places (sunscreen takes that stuff right off). There is a
radio, but no speakers. There is no heat - we disconnected it when
the engine was rebuilt. No AC. This is the perfect car to blast
down to the shore in. It would rule any beach town around. Please
