Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was certified as authentic by
Camaro expert Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance in 2016. It
has been restored to show-quality standards and retains its
original hidden VIN stamping and Trim Tag. This car was built on
the fourth week of October 1968 at the Norwood factory with the
following options: 57B Fathom Green with white stripes, 723
Midnight Green, D55 console, DS0 spoiler equipment, J52 power disc
brakes, M21 4-speed manual transmission, N40 power steering, U69
AM/FM radio, Z21-style trim group and Z28 special engine and
equipment. During the comprehensive restoration the decision was
made to not to reinstall the vinyl top and change the interior to
Parchment standard buckets with console and gauges. Everything on
this car has been restored or replaced. The body is very straight
with great gaps throughout. The exterior was refinished in the
original color of Fathom Green with white stripes. The car sits on
the correct 15" Rally wheels wrapped in Goodyear F-70 Polyglas
tires. The engine compartment is nicely detailed throughout and
home to the original matching-numbers DZ 302ci V8 engine, which is
coupled to its original matching-numbers Muncie M21 4-speed manual
transmission. Power is transferred to the pavement through the
original 12-bolt rear axle. The undercarriage is nicely detailed
throughout and retains the original floors that have no rust or
dents. This Camaro is one of 20,302 Z/28s produced in 1969. A
select offering from The Bryan Frank Collection.
